Meet Tara
My biggest value that I bring to every table is authenticity, and it is important that my clients feel that they can bring their full selves into the treatment room with ease.

I am curious, compassionate, and always eager to learn and grow. I have always held an interest in anatomy and movement. While not an athlete, I've enjoyed various forms of exercise included powerlifting, flow arts, dance, yoga, and roller skating. I'm a firm believer in doing what brings you joy, in whatever capacity that may be, and that continues to lead me to try new things.

I am a big advocate for mental health, with my own understanding of that experience. My hope is that this understanding lends to the support I can provide through my massage practice.

My favourite way to wind down is listening to music and immersing myself into an art project, or curling up with my cat and reading a book.
Why Massage Therapy?
My interest in massage therapy spans pretty far back, but it wasn't until I had to re-evaluate how I felt about eclipsing a 10 year anniversary at my office job that I decided to really pursue it as a career.
Growing up my step mom was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and since then more of my family members have been diagnosed with chronic pain conditions. As a kid I would give her massages, and while I had a lot less education at the time, it has given me some perspective on the importance of manual therapy as a tool to help manage symptoms both physically and mentally.
Massage therapy offers this benefit of time spent with a patient that we don't often see in health care. That time provides important insight into the needs of the people we are helping, and it really is an opportunity that I don't take for granted.
